Pastor Matt James

Pastor Matt was called to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in November 2020. 

Before that he served as Director of Admissions at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, Associate Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Worcester, Massaschusetts, and Protestant Chaplain at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. 

Pastor Matt thrives on hearing peoples' stories. The stories of how and where people have experience God in their lives, and, in turn, how they feel called to live out God's grace in their lives. 

Pastor Matt is an avid movie-watcher (especially anything Star Wars or Lord of the Rings!), enjoys exploring all types of food from around the world, and spending time with his husband, John, and their 98% adorable dog, Katie, and cat, Buddy (who mostly get along!).
